About the Exhibition

The Sourcing Platform for Kenya & East Africa's Plastics Industry

COMPLAST Kenya is a focused B2B exhibition for plastics machinery, raw materials, moulds, processing technology, recycling and allied services — serving Kenya and the wider East African market.

Following the successful 2026 edition at KICC, Nairobi, COMPLAST returns on 8 – 10 July 2027 — co-located with RUBEXPO, ELECXPO and ROOFENCE EXPO, four industrial shows on one badge. The show connects machinery manufacturers, material suppliers, mould makers and technology providers directly with the processors, converters, packaging producers, OEMs and brand owners who buy from them.

Kenya imports roughly most of its processing machinery and the bulk of its raw materials. For international suppliers, that import dependency is the opportunity — and COMPLAST is the platform where those buying relationships are formed.

Market Opportunity

Why Kenya & East Africa?

Kenya's plastics industry is a major contributor to the economy — driven by a large and young population, rapid urbanisation, a rising middle class and strong demand from packaging, consumer goods, construction and agriculture.

👥

Large, Young, Urbanising Population

East Africa's gateway economy with a young demographic profile and rapid urbanisation — the structural driver behind packaging, consumer goods and construction demand.

📦

Packaging & FMCG Demand

Food, beverage and FMCG manufacturing across Nairobi, Ogun and the South-West generates continuous demand for films, closures, containers and converting capacity.

🏗️

Construction & Infrastructure

Pipes, fittings, profiles, insulation and geosynthetics demand tracks Kenya's housing and infrastructure build-out.

♻️

Recycling & Circular Push

A strong national push toward better waste management, recycling capacity and bio-based materials is opening a new equipment and technology category.

🚢

Import-Dependent Supply Chain

With most machinery and raw materials imported, buyers actively seek international suppliers — there is no entrenched domestic alternative to displace.

🌍

Gateway to East Africa

Nairobi is East Africa's commercial capital and the natural distribution base for the wider East African Community market.

Built on Two Editions

2026 Edition Performance

COMPLAST Kenya 2026, held in July 2026 at KICC, Nairobi alongside RUBEXPO, ELECXPO and the Plastiworld pavilion, consolidated the show's position as a serious business platform for Kenya's plastics industry.
